All KS2 children are invited to participate in a 1K walk, jog, run around the school field.
When the gates open at 8.45am, the children come through the gates and go straight to the field with their trainers. There is no pressure to complete the 1K, just a good way to begin the school day with some exercise. Research shows that exercise at the beginning of the day, improves behaviour and concentration in lessons as well as fitness and good health. We aim to roll this out to the children in KS1 later on in the term. Happy running!
