Physical Education
At SS Peter and Paul’s we believe Physical Education to be an integral part of our children’s everyday healthy lifestyle – we fully support the government’s drive to tackle the health crisis by delivering a range of enjoyable activities through a diverse curriculum. Every child has the opportunity to undertake various physical activities throughout the day, as well as the weekly 2 hours of quality PE teaching provided to the children.
We provide opportunities for our pupils to become confident and physically literate in a way which supports their wellbeing. In addition to this, we offer opportunities for children to compete in sport and other activities in order to build resilience and embed values such as teamwork, fairness and respect.
Part of our PE Curriculum is delivered by specialists from Sporting4Schools (https://sporting4schools.co.uk). They are also responsible for running sporting activities at lunch times and organising (including training) pupils for out-of-school events and tournaments.
