Children’s author Antony Lishak inspired, entertained and enthused pupils during his visit to the school last Friday. 3 March 2016 (by adminuser) |
The author and creative writing expert delivered a prop-led storytelling session around his book Clickety Clack to infant children in the morning, inviting pupils and teachers to act out parts of the story.
In the afternoon he gave a talk to junior pupils about how authors use their own everyday experiences as springboards for stories. The interactive and comedic performance session was designed to empower pupils to realise they have hundreds of potential story ideas lurking in their heads as well give them lots of tips for writing their own stories.
Teachers and pupils were enthralled and entertained by his inspirational and informative workshops. Brimming with ideas and enthusiasm, pupils later put their ideas into practice when they were given the chance to write their own stories.
During the day, Mr Lishak spoke about how much he had enjoyed his visit to SS Peter’s and Paul’s and how well-behaved and attentive pupils were.
